Qi Gong

Short Mat Bowling Club

Short mat bowls is an indoor sport in which players attempt to score points by rolling a heavy ball along a fairly flat surface, to gain as many shots as possible by getting their bowls nearer to the jack than their opponents, and so outscore them. The game is a modern variation on lawn bowls, from which the game is derived.

There are vacancies for new members, preferably with some bowling experience, but keen beginners are welcome to pop along and give it a go.

All equipment is provided with a loan of bowls to start you off. The club belongs to the Gloucestershire Summer League. It has use of a small car park near to the entrance and you are advised to reverse on to it for easier departure after play.

Secure and insured storage is available for personal equipment. Tea, coffee and biscuits are enjoyed at half - time. The session fee is £3.00 and the annual membership is £15.

Stonehouse Health Walks

Did you know that Stroud District Council organises regular walks in and around the Stonehouse area aimed at improving people's health? Walking is a great way to improve your health and well-being - it is fun, inexpensive, and a great way to meet new people. Every walk is led by a fully qualified walk leader is FREE and suitable for all abilities. The Stonehouse walk takes place EVERY TUESDAY morning meeting at 10a.m. for a 10.15am start and lasts 30 - 60 minutes - meet at the Community Centre, Laburnum Walk, off Regent Street.

Stonehouse Wheelers

Stonehouse Wheelers Cycling Club was formed in 1948. We cater for all ages. Why not join us and explore the quieter lanes at a more civilised pace?

Rides are organised and lead to local beauty spots and places of interest covering usually 25 to 30 miles on Sunday afternoons.

For more ambitious riders there are longer all day rides. In the summer months, Wednesday Evening Rides, cater for beginners and returners. There are also tours abroad and weekend trips.

Cotswolds & Severn Vale 7 Day Circular Cycling Tour

A new 7-day itinerary covers approximately 30 miles each day, allowing the opportunity to experience the Cotswolds passing through pretty towns and villages and stunning scenery, with plenty of opportunity to enjoy visitor attractions and refreshments stops on route.

Keep fit without the hits!  Touch Rugby is a fast action packed game using the handling skills of rugby - with no tackling!  It is suitable for mixed participation and is best described as "Social Fintess at its Best"! No experience needed - just turn up and play!
