Stonehouse Community Plan 2008

In 2008 a Community Plan was drawn up by the Stonehouse Partnership in conjunction with Stonehouse Town Council.

This plan was written following extensive consultation with the community in Stonehouse with the aim of developing a series of steps which were designed to help address some of the town’s problems and work on opportunities for improvement.

The key to delivery of the plan was community involvement with many opportunities for people living and working in Stonehouse to get involved, from helping out at events to delivering newsletters, submitting articles for the newsletter or joining one of the project groups.

The Community Plan was informed by the Community Healthcheck; this was carried out largely by volunteers using Countryside Agency guidelines and identified strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for Stonehouse.
