A419 temporary road closures

Sunday, 27 October – Thursday, 31 October 2019
We will be working overnight at Chipmans Platt under 4-way traffic lights. This will allow us to install essential ducting across the road at various locations.


Monday, 4 November 2019 – Closure of Spring Hill – 8pm – 6am
Spring Hill will be closed for surfacing works from Chipmans Platt to the roundabout, with no access to and from the roundabout, 3-way lights and a local diversion route will be in place.

Tuesday, 5 November 2019 – Closure of Grove Lane – 8pm – 6am
Grove lane will be closed for surfacing works from the exit to Oldbury Services to Chipmans Platt roundabout again with no access to or from the roundabout, 3-way lights and a local diversion route will be in place.


Wednesday, 6 November – Saturday, 9 November 2019 Full Closure of A419 – 8pm – 6am
We will close the A419 completely here to complete final surfacing works at Chipmans Platt, a diversion route will be in place.

 

SPRING HILL DIVERSION
Travel North west on the A419 towards the motorway. At the motorway roundabout go straight over. At the next roundabout turn left along the A38 South West. Continue along the road until you reach claypits then turn left towards Eastington. At the next roundabout turn left along Alkerton road which will take you towards Spring Hill.
GROVE LANE DIVERSION
Travel South west on the A419 towards the motorway. At the motorway roundabout head North West and turn right on to the A38, at the next roundabout turn right along the A48. At Grove lane junction turn right and follow the road to Westend and then Nupend.


A419 FULL CLOSURE DIVERSION
North West and South East Traffic Diversion
From the roundabout off the motorway head North West and turn right on to the A38. At the next roundabout (Cross Keys) turn right and head South on the A430 towards Standish and then Stroud Green. At the Stonehouse roundabout turn right and head towards Spring Hill.
