High Street Car Park

Stroud District Council have given advance notification that between 12th and 14th March the rear left-hand side of the main High Street car park will be closed off to allow resurfacing works and relining to take place.

Temporary Road Closure and Restriction Park Road

Gloucestershire Highways have issued notification of a Temporary Road Closure and Restriction in Park Road from 12th March until 16th March to enable resurfacing works to be carried out.

The temporary closure will be in part of Park Road from its junction with Midland Road to its junction with Elm Road.  In addition to its closure there will also be no parking or waiting permitted at any time along the same length of road.

Stonehouse Bus Services During Temporary Road Closure

Stagecoach Bus Company have advised that their Stonehouse bus services will continue to serve the High Street during the temporary road closure in the High Street.  Whilst the cable works are being carried out buses will divert around Park Estate.  As soon as the bus services will return to normal routes once the road re-opens.

Gloucester Adult Learning are offering courses in personal finance and internet safety using the Learn My Way platform, which has a wealth of information; the following courses are becoming increasingly popular;

  • Keeping your personal information secure online
  • Online and mobile banking

If you know anyone in your Communities that could benefit from completing the course, whether yourself, family or contacts at partner organisations, please pass on this information and follow the link below. The courses only take about 30 minutes, but provide a wealth of valuable information;

  2. Click on Register in the top left of the screen
  3. Complete the sections and OUR CENTRE NUMBER 8000052, your name, email address and then choose a password. 
  4. Click on Subjects and choose one of the following modules to complete;

Temporary Road Closure of Stonehouse High Street

Stonehouse High Street (B4008) will be closed from Meadow Road to Elm Road for the instalation of a new electricity cable under the railway bridge from 12 Feb 2018 to 16 Feb 2018.

Stonehouse Station Footbridge closure

Stonehouse Station Footbridge will be closed temporarily from 3 Feb 2018 to 30 Mar 2018 to enable reconstruction of the footbridge.  An alternative route will be signed on site via Burdett Close/High Street/Queens Road/Upper Queens Road
