Funding opportunities latest bulletin

The Gloucestershire Alliance (an independent voice for the voluntary and community sectors within Gloucestershire) produces the Funding Opportunities Bulletin on behalf of Gloucestershire County Council.

The bulletin provides information on key funding opportunities available in Gloucestershire. This list is not exhaustive and is updated regularly. If you would like to receive an email alert when a new bulletin is available, please email the Alliance at info@glosvcsalliance.org.uk.

Key highlights:

The Government’s Communities Fund is being launched to help local people who are struggling to manage. Page 18

All Co-operative Bank Community Directplus account holders can apply for support for special projects and fundraising activities. Page 18

The MidCounties Co-operative Community Fund will be open to applications from 23 January to 17 February. Page 19

The Postcode Community Trust will re-open for applications from 23 January to 10 February. Page 24

Stroud District Council in partnership with Stroud District Youth Council, have re-opened their Youth Grant Funding Programme. The deadline is 3 January 2017. Page 30

The Wallace & Gromit Foundation supports projects that improve the lives of sick children in hospitals and hospices. Applications are open until 20 January. Page 59

The National Churches Trust has launched a new maintenance grant programme. 27 February 2017 is the next deadline for applications to its existing Community and Repair grant programmes. Pages 95, 22 and 95.

The Growing a Greener Britain charity helps to fund community projects in publicly-owned parks and open spaces. Page 108

The Sodexo Foundation’s Stop Hunger Campaign supports charities which help to alleviate hunger and malnutrition, promote healthy eating and lifestyles or support basic life skills such as cooking. Page 120

The Cheltenham Late Night Levy Fund is open for applications until 31 January. Page 122

The Ministry of Justice has launched a new fund to support local areas to develop a multi-agency approach to improve the support available for female offenders and other women with complex needs who may be at risk of offending. Page 124

The Spirit of Women Changemakers small grants programme will fund activity that improves the wellbeing of women and girls who are subjected to harmful gender norms and stereotypes. Page 163

The Government has launched a new round of its Tampon Tax Fund for projects that address violence against women or work with disadvantaged women and girls. Page 166

Rosa has launched its Woman to Woman fund to support local grassroots women’s organisations. Page 169

HLF information event for equalities groups and organisations

Gloucestershire VCS Alliance and BSWN are working with Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) to host an HLF Information Event for equalities groups and organisations.

HLF is keen to support the development of projects which achieve outcomes for people, heritage and communities from groups working with people:

• with physical, sensory or learning disabilities or mental health issues
• from black, Asian and other minority ethnic groups, religious groups, Gypsies and Travellers
• from LGBT communities

Temporary Road Closure - Oldends Lane

15th - 17th February 2017

Please be advised of the following temporary road closure:

Oldends Lane, Stonehouse

This road will be closed (as per the attached plan) from 15th February to 17th February 2017. This is to allow for a new water connection by contractors working on behalf of Severn Trent Water Ltd.

Our Helpline Number (0808 800 0510) will be closed from 12 noon on 23rd and 30th December and will be closed on 26th, 27th December and 2nd January.
