Play Rangers are coming to Stonehouse during Feb Half Term
Wednesday 17th February - 10am-4pm
Oldends Lane Playing Fields
Open to 7 - 14 year olds. Under 7’s are welcome
but should be accompanied by a parent or carer.
Cook out with the Play Rangers. Healthy meals will be provided along side creative and active play. Play Rangers will be on site in ANY weather.
Play Gloucestershire - a registered charity - is the leading provider of free, outdoor, active play in the county.
The Play Rangers activities target 7 - 14 year olds. Under 7’s are welcome but should be accompanied by a parent or carer. We love families to join us at all our sessions.
The Play Ranger activities are open access. This means there is no registration – children can leave the site at any time. The Play Rangers will not stop them and may not know that they have left. They encourage children to take responsibilities for their own actions. They think this is good for them. They will be encouraged to resolve disagreements amongst themselves. They will intervene if absolutely necessary.

Standish House invitation to tender deadline 26th February

Standish House in Stonehouse is being offered as a freehold conversion and development opportunity. 

On the instructions of the Homes and Communities Agency Standish House:

Is a vacant former hospital set in approximately 13 ha (32 acres) within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

• Is Grade II listed house with stables

• Has further buildings in a variety of architectural styles

• Has potential for conversion to a number of end uses

• Has approximately 7,597 sq m (81,774 sq ft) of principal buildings

• Is in a parkland setting with far reaching views

Development Proposals

Proposals for the freehold purchase of the entire site are invited on the following basis:

1. A Development Agreement and subsequent Building Lease will be entered into with the HCA.

2. The purchaser is to restore and/or convert the existing listed buildings for a compatible land use.

3. Demonstrate through submitted appraisals that the delivery and conservation mof the listed buildings can be delivered through only the minimum necessary enabling development.

The deadline for proposals is Friday 26th February 2016.

The vendor is not obliged to accept the highest or any of the offers received.

Prospective partners may be required to attend an interview.
